HISTORY OF AQUASCAPE
tutorial on making aquascape |
Aquascape was first introduced in Japan by a Photographer, Designer, and Aquarist. That was named Takashi Amano in 1990. He was born in Niigata, Japan in 1954, and he died on August 4, 2015.
He is also an author of several books including "Nature Aquarium World", "Aquarium Plant Paradise", as well as three other books about aquascaping, freshwater plants and fish. Because of his work as a landscape photographer, he often visits tropical rainforests in the Amazon, Indonesia, West Africa, and forests that are still in existence in Japan. He is also a member of The Japan Professional Photographers Society, The Japan Advertising Photog
Because of his interest in aquascape art, he created and founded a company called Aqua Design Amano (ADA), the company was established in Japan. The company contributes in the fields of design, lighting and CO2 systems, and the development and manufacture of aquarium products. And not only that the Amano Aqua Design (ADA) also provides a variety of ingredients such as ADA aqua soil to the ADA aquarium, and with an fertilizer system.
And because he is the only first figure to inspire in the field of aquascape, it is no wonder he influences and inspires aquarists throughout the world. The aquascape design that he created was based on the results of the real landscape, and the combination of wood, rock and aquatic plants, so that it became an amazing blend of art.
Other than that, he also found freshwater shrimp species called "Amano Shrimp" or "Yamato Shrimp" and was recognized as one of the shrimp species which has the ability to eat large amounts of algae. And since then Amano shrimp has become a core part in Aquascape. in addition, he also advocated the importance of reforestation or replanting trees to protect the earth.
